Loving this, been watching all day. I'm also really starting to think that Zion is a computer simulation as well.

Zion isn't a simulation, I promise.

RE: Matrix day 1-31-10
Yeah but why does Neo have super powers in the real then? Why when he goes blind does he see in code? Maybe he knows its all fake and that's what makes him the one, he just never lets the humans know because then they will feel like they are fighting a worthless battle and all would perish. Maybe when he "died" his body went to that third Matrix. idk lol I've just been stoned all day and watching the matrix this is what happens.

RE: Matrix day 1-31-10
tl;dr alert
Well, as for his "super powers" the only things he had any modicum of control over were the machines. The same machines he was able to see, and it was all "made out of light" (paraphrase). Neo: "Tell me how I stopped 4 sentinels by thinking it..." Oracle: "The power of the One extends beyond this world. It reaches from here all the way back to where it came from: The Source." To me, this means that because of the fact that he's the systemic anomaly, he has control over the system and everything attached to the system. While the Sentinels are not in the Matrix, they're built on and run the same code as the simulation itself. Therefore, all of the previous One's had this power. The difference between the predecessors and Neo is that they all returned to the source, where their powers would be used to rebuild Zion. As we all know, Neo took a different route. The biggest problem with the Matrix trilogy is that it's a mind-fuck. Some of the things people get hung up on have very straightforward answers that you can answer with common sense. Others, you have to really think about. The mind-fuck is that sometimes people over think the easy stuff and don't think hard enough about the hard stuff. I can not say with absolute certainty that my personal view is correct, however I do think that the Matrix-within-a-Matrix theory is not correct, and I will see if I can find any quotes from the W Bro's to confirm this, though I'm not sure if they've ever explicitly said that it isn't. I just think that a Double-Matrix really is beneath the rest of the story and tarnishes the effect of the experience. |

RE: Matrix day 1-31-10
I remember reading that they thought about a Matrix-within-a-Matrix and wanted to take the sequels in a different direction.
