Thanks for the kind words! I do need to get on that lossless reconstruction of the music files. Procrastination FTL!
Hey All. I'm Jack, I'm from the Trust Zion Faction. I played MxO for about the last 7 months or so it was around. I'm not much of a veteran like most of you are. I was really excited when MetaLogic mentioned the MxO EMU project. Anyway, that's me. Big Grin
Greetings, operative.
Yo Jack, hope you enjoy your stay here.
Welcome Jackal.
Okay, I finally made it! Here I am. Now...where's Gerik? Where's Gerik?

Sorry I didn't get here sooner; I was screwing around with Gaia Online and Evony and Neverwinter Nights and other pointless wastes of time. So what's going on in this stretch of the Machine world? Smile

lol...glomp. Welcome.
Hi All, I'm Zyron. I'm so happy to see people at works to keep the Matrix alive. I started in beta and played for 2 years into regular play. Sadly I didn't even know the Matrix went down. Yesterday I was planning to get back into game, only to find out it ended last July.

I was in the clan Winter Brood which was Led by Devol. can't remember which server I was on. I have a feeling they must have cut soem servers and merged players into others.

Look forward to seeing and helping out somehow in the project.

Thanks Morpheous and others for starting this project.

Zyron

Tell me about it; I was lucky to find out when I did. Back on June 20th, I was poking around the local Barnes & Noble's computer section, dsperately grabbing up expansion packs for The Sims 2 as The Sims 3 loomed on the horizon. I found a 60-day time card for The Matrix Online, selling for only $3. "Ooh, awesomeness! I haven't played The Matrix Online for a while. I never uninstalled it after I got a lousy job and had to quit for financial reasons, so this is the perfect time to jump back in! I wonder why this time card's so cheap."

Then I jumped back in, found that the time card was unnecessary and then learned exactly why the time card was so cheap.

Don't you hate it when something that looks like something good turns out to be something bad? Sad

*le sigh*

Well, at least we have the promise of this gorgeous emulator. And I wish it great success. Of course, it would save these charitable coders a lot of work if SOE would have just gone the Anarchy Online/Dungeons & Dragons Online route and said "Our bad, we're losing money and we need to attract more people to the game, so we're offering free play now. Spread the word!"

If I only had a billion dollars...how much would it cost to buy MxO from SOE, I wonder? Dodgy
